I've just spent the past hour putting together an online community within our student portal for our local safer neighbourhood team - PC Lee Stanbrook and PCSO Alex Wheatland.
Both officers are able to log onto the specific community policing page which will allow them to engage with our students (and vice versa) through a discussion forum. The Hampshire police webpage for the local area is also embedded for students to access. We hope that this will provide our local police with a forum to get notices out to our student community and allow our students to engage in a more open discussion with the local police service - allowing them to ask questions of interest.
I am getting feedback from Alex and Lee next week, system will be going live to students before then end of term.
